A vulnerability in Skype on Android makes calls automatically answered.
Anyone using Skype for chats,
phone calls or video chats on Android is currently facing a dangerous vulnerability. This ensures that calls are accepted automatically, which can be embarrassing for the person being called if the call is made at an unfavorable moment. Because Skype is also often used for business purposes, this vulnerability weighs even harder. Normally there is a corresponding button in the settings for the automatic acceptance of calls. Affected users now report that calls are also automatically answered when the feature is disabled. After a ring, the call is accepted without the help of the person called.
The first reports of the error made in January in the support forum from Microsoft the round. Emptying the cache or reinstalling did not help. One reason for the automatic acceptance of conversations was already in the decoupling of smart gadgets with Google Wear or Samsung Gear. According to its own statements, Microsoft is already working on a solution. In the preview version of Skype the problem should not occur anymore. Affected users should therefore download the beta version from the Play Store. The app called Skype Preview can also be used without rooting on any Android smartphone.
